Event Update For 2018-01-07

The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

A. More fires and more explosions, especially along the coasts, but everywhere generally.
B. Many more animal die-offs, of all kinds, and especially oceanic species.
C. More multiples of people will be found dead in their homes, as if they'd dropped dead.
D. More corpses found in low-lying areas, all over the world.
E. More unusual vehicular accidents.
F. Improved unemployment numbers as people die off.

  1. Hard to tell for sure if this incident was JJFH related or not, but during last night's college championship game a player on the Alabama sideline collapsed and had to be carried off in a stretcher. I was watching and I immediately thought, "Could this be.....?" This player, a defensive back, is a freshman who had not played one down when he collapsed at the end of the third quarter. They're calling it a "non-athletic medical issue". He was alert and awake as he rolled off in the stretcher though. What do you think Jonny?

  2. Yeah, I saw that, and yeah, young healthy people collapsing or dropping dead, I am suspicious. Had he smelled anything flowery in the last week, even for one breath? Been near any low-lying areas? Touched anything outdoors and then rubbed his eyes or ate food? Doused his head in water, like in a shower? So many possibilities now.

As influx of Puerto Ricans continues, Koch-backed group starts seeking them out in Florida
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2018/01/as-influx-of-puerto-ricans-continues.html

The Libre Institute, an offshoot of the Libre Initiative, a group backed by the billionaire Koch brothers, is launching new outreach programs this week in the Orlando area designed to provide English-language courses and civics lessons to thousands of Puerto Ricans living at least temporarily in Central Florida as the island continues rebuilding after deadly hurricanes Irma and Maria last fall.

Residents of Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens who can participate in presidential primaries but cannot cast a vote for president — unless they move to the mainland and register to vote. With hundreds of thousands of Puerto Ricans leaving the island, they are poised to transform several communities in Florida and bolster fledgling island communities in Georgia, North Carolina and Texas while adding to their already large numbers in New Jersey, New York and parts of New England. The ongoing churn has the potential to transform the political dynamic ahead of November’s midterms, especially in down-ballot races, in which even a few hundred new voters could make a difference. 4. Evacuations ordered below Santa Barbara burn zones as area braces for rainstorm
    http://www.desdemonadespair.net/2018/01/evacuations-ordered-below-santa-barbara.html

[A]head of a strong winter storm that could trigger flash flooding and mudslides, authorities have ordered evacuations of Santa Barbara County neighborhoods that sit below areas recently burned by wildfires.

Almost 4 inches of rain is expected in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties — where the massive Thomas fire has scorched more than 281,000 acres — from Monday evening through Tuesday morning. Authorities warned of the potential for heavy rain, strong winds and “extremely dangerous” flash flooding and debris flows. [more]

Natural disasters on the rise says scientist, unprecedented cold, wildfires and hurricanes signify 'profound changes'

Eventually, Dr Guy McPherson, professor emeritus of natural resources and ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Arizona, says the rate of change to the climate will overcome humanity's ability to adapt, which would prove devastating.

In the next eight years, he adds, it is likely that the globe will be hotter than at any point in the last two billion years.

Volume increases for December in the last 10 years aren't all that far apart, ranging from 3500 to 4000 km3 (rounded off). This year was on the lower side of that range, with 3547 km3. Only 2010 and 2014 were lower than that, just barely. This means that 2017 ends the year in third spot. [more; Neven is an expert]

  5. Thanks for the link, Mike - I missed the game (asleep by 9).

I recently posted a story along the same lines, only at a swim meet. A "breathing issue" was mentioned - a noticeably vague term like "medical incident" that give one no additional information.

It's only a matter of time before we witness a real collapse death on national t.v., because this "breathing issue" could have been due to a subtle lack of oxygen (ie. more of "other gases") in a single breath taken by someone involved in a sporting event, like it is all over the world for other people doing most anything.

In fact, if JJFH is any indication, it'll probably happen at one of the big car races - the Indy 500 or whatever - since driving is problematic when one passes out. People will notice that.

Stunning images show the moment that a 50,000-pound humpback whale pushed a snorkeler through the water to protect her from a nearby shark.

The pictures of Nan Hauser, 63, show how the massive sea creature pushed the whale biologist with his head and his mouth, then tucked her under its pectoral fin and even lifted her out of the water on one occasion.

However, lurking near the mammal and Hauser was a 15-foot tiger shark, as well as another whale that was moving its tail to ward off the shark. [more; video]

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/us-rivers-getting-saltier-drinking-water-at-risk-study/ar-BBI7SxZ

U.S. rivers and streams have become saltier and more alkaline over the last 50 years, posing risks to drinking water by damaging pipelines and other infrastructure, according to a study released on Monday.
As municipal workers dump salt on roads to combat ice and farmers put fertilizer on fields, the runoff has made U.S. waterways saltier and more alkaline, according to the study, which examined decades of data recorded from 232 U.S. Geological Survey monitoring sites.
Salt can also be released by floods that reach sewage systems and spill the contamination into waterways, as well as from brines at hydraulic fracturing - or fracking - operations and oil and gas sites. [more; that illustrates the zen of water]

Houston police: Medication caused confusion for journalist
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/houston-police-medication-caused-confusion-for-journalist/ar-BBI5ZTj

A sports journalist who was found after she went missing over the weekend told police officers that she had a severe reaction to medication that led her to become confused and disoriented, police said Monday.

The disappearance of Courtney Roland, 29, caused alarm after she sent nonsensical texts to her mother and her roommate called police Sunday saying Roland had expressed concern that a suspicious man was following her.

Roland suffered memory loss as a result of her reaction to the medication and she was continuing to be evaluated at a hospital, police said at a news conference.

She wasn't aware that she had been reported as missing and her state of confusion caused her to lose track of time, police said.[more]

  6. A poignant moment the other day, as I was walking along through the shopping center, when I came across a dead flying fox on the footpath. An elderly gentleman was standing staring, transfixed at the sight of the poor creature. It looked like a fine specimen - other than the fact that it was dead! Heaps just dropped dead out of the trees, due to the heat, as you all probably read here or somewhere else. I have been used to seeing them flying around since I was a little kid but have never seen a dead one on an urban street.
Imagine getting stuck in an undergound railway station for hours, with the system having ground to a halt due to the heat, without air-conditioning, as happened to thousands of commuters here in Sydney in the last few days. I know those stations well and they are often uncomfortably warm even on an average day with everything working.
I did pick up on the shrimp-on-the-barbie line Jonny -that was funny as well. Jimmy Carrie did a good one of those. Funny thing is though we call them prawns.
    Cheers Everyone.
    All The Best,
    Tom N.
